Where are you located?

We are located Brendale, North Brisbane - full pickup address is provided with your confirmation and deposit details after making a booking

Are you a shop?

Baker and the Beast is a home based business registered with our local council and holds Public Liability & Product insurance

How do i make an order?

Please contact us by - online enquiry form, email bakerandthebeast@outlook.com or through our social media pages.

We do not take phone call enquiries or bookings.

I have made an enquiry but have not heard back?

We respond to absolutely all messages! even on our booked dates

Please allow 1-3 days for a response (longer on holidays)

If you have submitted an online enquiry or email please check your spam/junk folder - most of our responses end up there!

If you are still waiting to hear from us please send through another message.

Do i have to pay a deposit?

Yes - we take a deposit on all bookings. If you have not paid a deposit your booking is not secured. 

How do i collect my order?

When confirming your booking we will send through the collection address along with the times we are available between, we then ask that you give us your preferred pickup time so we can schedule this in.

-Please turn up at your scheduled pickup time and knock on the front door for collection

-Please do not message and wait in your car as messages are not always seen straight away (we do not bring your order out to the car)

-Please respect that this is also our home and do not let yourself in or walk further in without being asked to do so.

I am late for my scheduled pickup time what do i do?

If you are running late for your collection by more than 45min-1hour please send us a message as soon as possible 

If you are not going to arrive by our collection cut of times please do not turn up as we may not be available

Do not arrive earlier than our collection start time (9am) unless otherwise arranged

If you have requested an earlier pickup please arrive at that time - bringing an order forward can change how the day is planned

It is your responsibility to turn up at your scheduled collection time

All orders are made on a scheduled time scale to suit - please be respectful of our time as we are of yours

Can somebody collect my order for me?

Yes, you can arrange for another person to collect your order however we do require full remaining payment on collection (please make sure they are aware!)

How do i pay my remaining balance?

Remaining payment can be paid by cash, eftpos or bank transfer

How do i transport my cake?

We recommend placing your item flat in the front footwell with the aircon on, we do not recommend sitting your cake on the seat.

Does my order need to be kept in the fridge?

All cakes/cupcakes should be placed in the fridge from collection unless serving within the next 1-2 hours. We recommend taking your cake from the fridge 1-2 hours prior to serving to come to room temperature *weather dependant

Please do not place your cakes/cupcakes in direct sunlight

Cookies do not need to be stored in the fridge

Can i sample the flavours?

Yes! we offer mini sample bars - these are $5 each and can be any combination of one cake flavour and one buttercream or ganache flavour from the website

How many flavours can i choose?

Our standard one tier cakes are made up of 4 layers 

we offer one cake flavour and one buttercream or ganache flavour per tier of cake (all 4 layers of cake the same flavour)

Additional flavours / fillings are extra charge 

If you are ordering a multi tier cake each cake tier can be a different 1x cake flavour and 1x buttercream or ganache flavour

Do you deliver?

We have very limited delivery available, if you do require delivery we recommend booking in at least 3-4 months prior

*we still may not be available within this time frame

I only need small servings, what do i order?

All size/price guides listed on the website are for a regular dessert serving size - if you require smaller 'event' serving sizes we can send through a quote to suit

I no longer need my order, can i get a refund on deposit?

All deposits are non refundable - your deposit payment secures a slot on your chosen date closing this off to other potential customers as well as covering costs of admin, any toppers/ decorations etc and ingredients for your order

If you would like to postpone or rebook we can use the deposit for a new booking - minus any out of pocket costs for us eg. toppers / decorations
